Charasan's LairCharasan's Lair
In the fall of 2009 I graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. And there was much rejoicing.
In the course of my time there, I had to write a variety of papers on various subjects...sharing a common programmer's belief that documentation is evil, this took some effort on my part. Still, I was fairly pleased with the results. So as to not lose the work, and to share it with others, I've posted most of the papers I wrote during my time at ISU here for others to read as they will. Enjoy.
- A multi-part research paper on gearing an education towards a career in the video game industry. Knowing what I know now, I could make tons of changes, but this was a first-semester-back paper. The main paper does contain an interesting history of the video game industry, though:
- My paper on Scat Singing, a form of Jazz
- A paper about the future of mainframe computers.
- A paper about modern day Austria, after interviewing an Austrian co-worker.
- My impressions on ENG335 and its final novel, Perdido Street Station.
- A paper about the Islamic faith, taken from a lecture by Louay Safi.
- A paper about hydropolitics for TMGT335. Not my best work, but an interesting topic.
- My PowerPoint on the History & Evolution of Computer Programming.
- My report and errata on the History & Evolution of Computer Programming.
- 4-6 page summaries of each chapter of the Computer Architecture book we used.
